The opportunity to don a snazzy, station-embossed parka and head out into the elements might sound lame to some journalists. But not TV reporters. They are a species known for braving a myriad of weather phenomenon. Snow storms, hurricanes, torrential downpours, the “coldest” first day at Wrigley Field… Contrary to popular belief, TV reporters welcome global warming. After all, their favorite pair of black leather gloves a la OJ are stored in the back of the closet all summer long. There’s nothing like a winter storm or a dude named Gustav to get that weather gear out.
